Hi, I’m Thumbelina

Hi there my name is Thumbelina and I'm a Central Bearded Dragon! You would usually see my species in central areas of Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Northern Territory. We love to scurry around, soak up the rays on warm rocks and climb onto tree trunks.

My favourite activities are sunbaking and eating! Due to my history before coming to RSPCA, I have a huge love for my food and can often be a bit overzealous with fake plants and sometimes fingers - I'm working on it but don't grab me too quick and we should be good. I am still getting used to handling and given my history I will need continued practice and patience.

I'm an omnivorous lizard, which means I require a wide range of vegetables and insects to help me stay healthy. I love to hang out on my raised log to bask on. I also require a UV light, heat lamp, water bowl and a hide if I need a getaway.
