Hi, I’m Dorothy
Looking for someone to keep an eye on your flock while you finally sleep in on a Sunday morning? Need a majestic, cloud-like creature to patrol your paddocks with purpose and pride? Meet Dorothy - our brilliant, bold, and barky Maremma Sheepdog with a CV longer than most humans.
Dorothy is all business on the job - and that job? Guarding. Watching. Patrolling. Barking. (Yes, she barks. No, you can't train it out of her. It's her job.) She's not into city life or café puppuccinos. Dorothy is a country gal, through and through - with a heart full of purpose and paws made for pasture.
What You'll Love About Dorothy:
Gets along with other working dogs
Has a playful streak - even serious workers need recess
Affectionate in her independent way - pats yes, lap time no
Keeps your livestock safe and your property protected
What Dorothy Needs:
A rural or farming property with livestock to protect - sheep, goats, poultry, etc.
Daily human interaction - she's independent, but she still needs love and companionship
A family who values her work ethic and respects her space
What Dorothy Isn't:
A couch potato
A suburban snoozer
A lap dog
An indoor-only pet
Dorothy has made it clear: she's not cut out for suburbia. While some Maremmas adapt to pet-only life, she wants a job. It's in her bones, her bark, and that determined sparkle in her eye.
She's not just a dog - she's Dorothy: Defender of the Flock, Queen of the Acreage, Supreme Commander of the Chicken Coop.
Could your farm be the kingdom she's been waiting for?
