Acceptance of Terms and Conditions of Use

By completing a Competition entry, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Queensland Limited A.C.N. 166 777 591, a company limited by guarantee (RSPCA Queensland) may, without notice, amend or modify its Terms & Conditions by posting the amended Terms & Conditions to this competition.

If any of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that invalidity or unenforceability will not affect the remainder of the Terms & Conditions, which will continue in full force and effect.

Competition Ownership

The Competition is owned and operated by RSPCA Queensland.

Intended audience

All information provided on this website in relation to the Competition has been prepared in accordance with Australian law and is intended for use by residents of Queensland, Australia. Persons not ordinarily resident in the State of Queensland are not eligible to enter into the Competition.

Competition details

Entries into the Competition may be effected from Friday, 10 November 2023 until Sunday, 10 December 2023.  Entries can be made online via a Meta Lead Form prompt.One entry may be made per person.

Note that no entry will be received or considered valid if it is received after 11:59 pm on 10 December 2023.

In order to be eligible to make an entry:

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and ordinarily resident in the State of Queensland; and
  • You may not be an employee or volunteer of RSPCA Queensland or the immediate family of an employee or volunteer of RSPCA Queensland.

You must answer, in 25 words or; less, why you want to know what your dog is made of

RSPCA Queensland reserves the right to contact each person who has completed and submitted the Competition form. RSPCA Queensland may ask for additional content including visual (photo or video) and information around their pet suitable for publication.

The Competition prize pool consists of one hundred (100) GenoPet Dog Breed Identification DNA Tests from Orivet. This prize pool is divided into 100 individually claimed prizes of: one (1) GenoPet Dog Breed Identification DNA Test from Orivet.

The total prize pool value of the one hundred (100) GenoPet Dog Breed Identification DNA Tests from Orivet is $17,995 RRP.

Redemption of the GenoPet Dog Breed Identification DNA Test from Orivet is subject to the terms and conditions attached to Orivet. The Competition prize winners will be determined via a panel of judges, with the winners to be decided on 15 December 2023 at 9:30am, who will each be contacted by RSPCA Queensland via phone and email within 14 days of the judge's decision with a public announcement shortly thereafter. RSPCA Queensland will arrange physical delivery to each winner via Australia Post.

The Competition prize is not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

In the event a Competition prize is not redeemed within 1 month of Competition draw, that prize will be reallocated, taking place on Monday, 15 January 2024 at 9:30 am, with each new winner being contacted by phone and email within 14 days of the judges' decision. Any Competition prizes not redeemed by 15 February 2024 will be deemed to have lapsed.

Conduct of the Competition, including decision on the eligibility of persons to enter, will be the sole responsibility of the management of RSPCA Queensland, whose decision in all matters will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.

RSPCA Queensland reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed fraudulent or not a valid entry.

Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with the laws in force in the State of Queensland, Australia and in the event of any dispute arising in relation to these Terms & Conditions or any dispute arising in relation to the Competition whether in contract or tort or otherwise the courts of Queensland and any courts competent to hear appeals therefrom will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over such dispute.
