Hi, I’m Lexi
Please meet Lexi....Sometimes we are not born into the best situation and it can be hard to overcome. This may have been the case for Lexi when she was a kitten. Her background was a case of cat 'hoarding' where the cats/kittens were taken care of, however there were too many to receive appropriate socialisation. In the last 3 years (almost) Lexi has had a loving home, but unfortunately it has been difficult for her to live in harmony with the other cats in her home.
The 'real' Lexi is a very affectionate sweet girl who loves to climb into your lap and curl up. She enjoys long, slow strokes and face rubs when you sit on the floor at her level. Lexi is one of those cats who love to check you out by smelling all the foreign scents on your clothes and it can be a fun game. Her manner is very relaxed and friendly. All of this would change if another cat or was introduced into her world, as she becomes very fearful. Please read on for our adoption recommendations:-
LAUNCH ROOM - This is where Lexi can be allowed to settle prior to exploring the rest of the house, which may initially seem overwhelming. A launch room can be a room, crate or a large cardboard box that contains her immediate needs.
HEALTH - A diet of high-quality dry biscuits, some wet food and clean, fresh water is perfect. Lexi is in good health and has many good years ahead of her. On-going vet visits are needed.
FRIENDS - Lexi will enjoy a calm/mature household that has a regular, quiet routine. She may be able to co-habit with gentle, older children who understand cat behaviour. We do not recommend Lexi living with other cats and unfortunately whether she can co-habit with a dog is an unknown.
INSIDE LIFESTYLE - Lexi needs a safe indoor lifestyle, where no harm can come to her or the wildlife outside the home. Fun inside your home can be provided by large cat towers, wand toys, warm window-sills to observe the outside world, and gentle cuddles. Large cat towers would be especially helpful as it would provide her with outside views and security.
Lexi is a stunning brown-tabby cat with black stripes and yellow-green eyes. She has cute, black tufts on the ends of her ears. Lots of love from Lexi.
